WHY GET UP!
St. Louis is spending enormous resources responding to violence after it happens — through
emergency rooms, courts, and incarceration. GET UP! is an upstream solution that invests
earlier, when lives can still be redirected.
This is prevention as public safety.
GET UP! is a community-focused Art/Resource Community Center dedicated to enriching lives
through creative expression, mentorship, and the restorative power of art and connection to community. Located in the heart of Walnut Park, GET UP! provides a safe, nurturing environment where young people at risk of the cradle-to-prison pipeline can discover self-worth, reshape personal narratives, and envision futures filled with opportunity.
